How I came to join Revolver:
Roped in during the founding summer of 2006 by man/myth/legend Nick Handler.

Funniest moment or joke on Revolver:
Louis Eisenberg and Chuck Armstrong brought real humor and wit to Revolver.  After them, no one has said anything remotely funny except by accident.

Favorite game or tournament moment on Revolver:
We played an epic and formative game in the 2008 Club Championships against Johnny Bravo.  I think we were down 14-9 in a game to 15, and some luck and a whole lot of heart we came all the way back for the win.  That was the first time when I really felt that training intensity, mental preparation, and doing dumb shit like waking up at 4AM for two weeks prior to nationals to get on the right sleep schedule was buying us the inches we needed to win a national championship.

Favorite game or tournament moment outside of Revolver:
This past Kaimana (2012) was an amazing tournament.  About 20 generations of Stanford alums were present.  It was punctuated by a young Skeletor winning the championship.

Favorite Ultimate player(s) in formative years:
Rob Cahill.  As a captain my freshman year at Stanford, he was a big part of my decision to play ultimate.  Will Peterson and Ben Dean for their pure love of the game.  Mark Sherwood in my later college years as he transformed from a good defender into a bionic force of nature.  Mike Payne for his dedication to and confidence in the Revolver program.  On other teams: Sockeye greats Chase and Nord.  The Wiggins brothers: Ben for his throws and decisions, Seth for his cutting and his intensity, especially in practice.  Many more.

Favorite tournament:
Club Nationals

What makes ___ so dangerous?
I am honored to be on a team where it is my other 6 teammates on the field that make me dangerous.  I work hard to play my part and not get in the way.

Pre-game ritual:
Warm up too much, punch Russel Wyne in the face and pound a red bull.

What I like to eat on Saturday night of a tournament:
It isn’t considered good manners to eat in the icebath.

If I didn’t play Ultimate, my main pastime outside of work would be:
Climb squash lift surf run, so basically the same.  I would probably also get into Salsa or hip hop dance lessons.

In terms of Kanners, how tan are you?
I have very tan thighs.  Want to see them?  Here, come on over.  Check these out.

Something unknown about me:

I’m Vegan.
Alright alright alright I’m not vegan.  But I am mormon.
Alright fine fine alright fine I’m not mormon.  But I am vegetarian.

Worlds Prep Complete

Revolver, as team USA, put the finishing touches on the worlds prep at practice this weekend, concluding with a 17-12 victory over a scrapy, up-and-coming Boost Mobile team flush with new talent from around the Bay Area.  Sky’d magazine’s Gil McIntyre was on hand for some pre-worlds coverage of the Bay Area open teams, and promised to make us look good in his footage – which we only sporadically managed to do on the scrimmage field.  Happily USA dodged a bullet as Bart Watson survived a loud and painful collision with a defender’s foot on a huck point-block attempt; just a serious bruise and he should be ready for the kickoff in Sakai.  Stay tuned for day-by-day write-ups and the latest hilarious cultural faux pas Beau commits as the team heads to Japan.
