Great Turnout for the Open Mixer

Thanks to everyone who came out to the mixer this weekend. Almost 100 players and good representation from 4 teams: Boost, J-men, Revolver & Wolf.

For those that weren’t there – we split into eight teams and played four rounds of games.
The weather was awesome and everyone played hard. A great start to bay area ultimate 2012!

Revolver adds Kurt Gibson to team USA

Revolver is pleased to announce we have added Kurt Gibson to the roster for team USA. We’ve known Kurt as great opponent, we consider him one of the top players in our sport, and we are excited he’ll be on the field alongside us. Kurt will join the other 24 returning members of Revolver 2011 to represent the USA at the WUGC in Sakai, Japan.

Revolver 2012 Pre-Season

Revolver will start the very exciting 2012 campaign on April 7th when we co-host an open hat tournament alongside organizers of a new Open club team from the Bay Area. The Hat tournament will be at Sandhill fields at Stanford starting at 10am, please fill out the form on the left sidebar if you are interested so we can get a sense of numbers.

For interested players, our Worlds roster is largely set and we are unlikely to have any spots available for the trip to Japan. However – true to our team values – we will have a tryout for all spots our 2012 clubs roster. We welcome any interested players to contact us and let us know if you are interested in the tryout process. We will have invitation-only tryout events on April 8th, and the weekends of April 14th, May 5th, May 19th, and at Flowerbowl on June 2nd.

We are excited to get 2012 started, this is going to be a huge year for Revolver and Team USA!

THIS WEEKEND – Revolver/Fury host youth camp!

It’s spring and the weather is finally realizing we live in California. All the more reason to to grab every youth player you know (or grab your friends if you ARE a youth player), and come out to the youth clinic being held THIS WEEKEND at Foothill High School in Pleasanton starting at 10:30am (running about 4 hours).

National/World champions Revolver and Fury will be acting as instructors, and we’ll mix up teaching, drills, and playing for a fun time. We’ll also be handing out some Ultimate paraphernalia and looking for up-and-coming stars!
